DELE and SIELE are the two official exams that assess competency in Spanish as a foreign language.

DELE consists of six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. Each level evaluates the student's communicative skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) as well as their grammatical and lexical knowledge.

SIELE is a digital exam consisting of four tests: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression and interaction, and spoken expression and interaction. Unlike DELE, SIELE does not have specific levels but uses a scoring system ranging from 0 to 1000 points.
